I've updated Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) to major version 16.
I noticed that the enhanced DNGs generated by ACR couldn't be loaded by RawDigger 1.4.7 release.
Updating to 1.4.8 beta is resolving the issue.
I observe the same behavior in PhotoLab by DxO.
I have opened a ticket using their support service.
After exchanging several messages denoting a vague superiority attitude towards me, they started to blame Adobe for buggy changes in ACR.
As DNG is an open-source format, I do not think that Adobe would risk making discretionary changes to the format without documenting them.
I admit I like PhotoLab for its top-notch denoise, and I do not want to abandon using it.
So I would like to hear your opinion about the changes made by Adobe in ACR-generated DNGs.
What was the reason for these changes?
And how difficult was it to fix RawDigger to adapt to these changes?
Regards,
Sarmis
